Prosthetic dentistry is the means to replace missing teeth, soft tissues or all teeth, which have been lost due to dental decay, destruction of connective tissue or trauma. The prosthetic solutions available are fixed and removable dental prostheses.

Fixed prosthetic solutions include crowns and bridges that are cemented in the mouth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

         

Removable prostheses include full and partial dentures. If all teeth are missing, a complete denture is a removable prosthetic solution.  A complete denture may also be retained in the mouth using a few implants, and in this case it can still be removed and cleaned.
